NARHA regulations require that you be at least 14 years old to work directly with a client. Ages 12-13 are welcome to volunteer to assist with setting up games, assisting at the gate, cleaning up in the arena, etc.
Volunteer Workshops are held during the session break weeks. Check the Riding Schedule for dates. Time is normally 3 PM to 5 PM.
Riding Schedule
Volunteers should arrive an hour ahead of the first scheduled rider to groom and tack the horses and set up the arena for program. You need to make sure that you wear sturdy closed toe shoes or boots to work around the horses. It is also advisable to bring drinking water as most of the water on the ranch is NID (irrigation) water. We ask that you can give a minimum of 2 hours of your time and understand that not everyone can give the 4-6 hours that make up our program day.
