Equine Assisted Activities provide an opportunity for children and adults with special needs to use horses as their therapists.

Why a horse?

A horse is a dynamic living animal that lends itself perfectly to a MULTI-SENSORY approach to healing.

Posture, balance, coordination, strengthening and stretching all OCCUR NATURALLY in the course of riding.

Many persons who are restricted to wheelchairs, braces and/or crutches become INDEPENDENTLY MOBILE for the first time while riding a horse.

Through Equine Assisted Activities, certified instructors use horses to help increase the physical fitness as well as self-esteem and confidence of the rider.  The horses' natural rhythm moves the muscles and spine in a way that duplicates the normal movements of walking.
